1. Avoid Malware


This is the most common culprit behind slow performing PC. Generally new PC shouldn’t have malware but after sometime malware might get inside into the PC while browsing web. There are millions of ways due to which malware sneak into a PC/laptop and often run in the background and makes the PC run slow.


So, in the first step you need to completely scan your PC for malicious programs, virus/malware with the healthy antivirus program.


2. Limit Items that Run on Startup


If your PC/laptop takes longer time to start up, the very first thing you need to do is verify everything it starts when you hit the power button.

  • For this, click on the Windows button > click “run,” > then type “msconfig” into the box.

  • After that click on the “Startup” tab and verify the unwanted thing that you don’t need to startup like antivirus, Adobe Acrobat or Google Toolbar Notifier etc.

  • Assure while installing official system drivers from the manufacturer website. Drivers play a very vital role and have a great impact on performance, so have stable, updated drivers.

  • Avoid opening unknown, spam emails, downloading free software programs, videos files, games and many others.

  • Apps that function as an Explorer plug-in: These are highly dangerous as they directly hook into the shell and also make the entire PC slow or in the worst case, crash repeatedly.
